New CEO Announced for GameTech International

The publicly traded GameTech International, Inc. has been providing video lottery terminals and bingo gaming machines for quite some time now and achieved massive successes in the gaming industry. Recently, GameTech announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, Floyd “Bud” Glisson, who will also serve as the company’s President. Provided regulators approve, Glisson will take the position in the coming days, rising from his position on the Board of Directors. The move comes by way of Richard Fedor, the Executive Chairman of the Board for GameTech, who has tendered the move after Jay Meilstrup, the former CEO and President, announced his resignation in February of 2010. Fedor is currently serving as CEO and President during the interim.

Glisson is seen by the company as an individual with the knowledge and experience needed to lead GameTech towards a new future while working hand in hand with current management to improve operations company wide. Bringing extensive financial management to experience from prior positions such as the CEO of Acres Gaming and the CFO of one of ConAgra’s multi billion dollar company holdings, Glisson will add much to strengthen GameTech’s already robust leadership team. Since the company has a strong focus on the bingo industry, in particular the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic bingo machines, the business is expected to grow at a rapid pace under Glisson’s watchful eye and the profit margin should widen as his skills at cutting costs and streamlining corporations comes into play. Market analysts expect 2010 to be a strong year for the company.
